Yeosu, a port city of warm-hearted people, surrounded by a magnificent landscape and a clean and sea environment!
The city is proud of its cuisine, and of the various froms of jeotgal (or jeot, traditional salt-fermented fish and the sauce) from the region, as well as its famous Dolsan leaf-mustard kimchi.
Narea Food Co.,Ltd. has sought to rediscover, preserve and carry on the heritage on our traditional recipes for 43 kinds of jotgal and other pickled dishes over the last 13 years.
In February, 1996, Narae Food was designated as an authorized enterprise for the production of traditional food by the Korean Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
The company also won the Ministerial Award from MAF in 1995, as well as the Grand Prize at the Processed Marine Products Fair, which was held to commemorate the National Meeting of Fishery Successors, in 1997.
Since it began exporting its products to 10 different regions in the U.S. including LosAngeles and New York, Narae Food has contributed to introducing the traditional tastes of Namdo(southern part of Korea) cuisine to the world with its jeotgal and other pickled dishes. |
